Just a Little Refresher

I recently started talking with someone about trying to help them get in better shape and I came to the reality that there are things I had learned while in my own journey but forgotten already! I realized that even with all the things that had become a permanent part of my life now, there are still things I need to learn and incorporate.

I typed her up a little "tips and things I know" paper and it consisted mainly of random facts that by themselves don't really make a significant impact but when incorporated into a full time lifestyle, makes a HUGE impact of your health. In preparing that little paper for her, I was reminded of a few little things that I had heard and thought "I need to start doing that" but realized at that moment that I had never started doing them.

Today I went to my 9 month support group (I'll be 9 months post op February 17th) and saw a lot of new faces and heard a lot of new questions that got me thinking.. I know everyone is different and everyones journey will have different bumps and curves and results, and I know not everyone has the same strong will and determination to make the hard decisions when needed.. with that being said, I realize how easy it is to let the "little things" slip through the cracks.

Just to update my stats as well while we're all here..


Highest weight 336 (November 2018)

Surgery weight 307 (May 2019)

Current weight 195.6 as of today

Goal Weight 155-175 ish


I'm still working on a more informational entry, look for it tomorrow sometime!
