Y'all, I've been slacking for real! Almost a month since my last update with y'all... unacceptable! So, here I am to fill you in on what's been going on in my life over the last month..
Have you ever stopped to think about the past? Not in the way of 'coulda, woulda, shoulda' but more like realizing you are currently in a stage of life that you thought would never come. Remember when you were 12 and it seemed like it took 4 years to get to 13? And then when you were 15 and it took 5 years to make it to sweet 16? And then of course when you were 17 you couldn't wait to be 18 etc, etc, etc... Think about it, have you ever thought to yourself, "I can't wait to find the right guy that loves me for me" and you think it'll be years before you ever find him...but then you blink and you're married to a wonderful man and you're in an argument and for a second you wonder why you married him but then you realize you wanted this 2 years ago and now it's here and everything in between feels like a dream because it went by so fast!? THAT'S WHERE I'M AT!
When I started this program almost 1 year ago (November 1, 2018) I thought the day I'd actually have the surgery was ages away! Then after I had it, I thought it would be months before I saw any real results. Here I am 6 months out from surgery and I'll be honest, sometimes I feel like I haven't done enough or as much as I should have by now..but then some days, I look in the mirror and I think "I just blinked and lost a whole person off of my body"! **statistics update below** Sometimes I even wonder if I'm just seeing me smaller because I want to be and not because I am.. Its a huge mental deal for me to put into perspective sometimes!
That's why I have decided to become a Health and Wellness Coach!! I am currently looking into Certification programs and will be getting my Bachelor's of Science in Health and Wellness (over the next few years of course). I will be starting a Fitness and Nutrition Professional Certification Program in November and should be taking the exam around Spring time 2020! Then, on to the Bachelors degree soon after!! BUT I after passing the exam, I will be a practicing Certified Nutritional Coach (CNC)!!!!!! I will be updating my progress along the way as well!
So, I will update statistics now and then once again at exactly 6 months out from surgery on November 17th, 2019!
Highest recorded weight (2018) 356 lbs
Starting weight (Nov 1, 2018) 336 lbs
Surgery Day weight (May 17, 2018) 307 lbs
Current weight 222.3 pounds!!!
In case you don't feel like doing the math: that's
134 pounds lost since highest recorded weight in mid 2018
114 pounds lost since starting the program in November 2018 and
85 pounds lost since surgery on May 17, 2019!!
First pic is June 2018
Second is September 2019
Third is October 2019
